This is the blog about my living room aquarium.

Shortly after setting up my first tank (Cortex Shrimplant) I bought a 5.5 gallon tank. I wasn't sure of what I wanted to do with it, but I wanted it and that's what matters lol. I was considering making it a quarentine tank but thought it was a bit small for that kind of use, so I decided to turn it into a second shrimp tank. Only this time just one kind of shrimp and one kind of snail. Red Cherry Shrimp and Ramshorn snails to be exact. Over a couple months I bought various gear such as an air pump and filter, more substrate, hardscape, etc. By about mid August I was able to fill it with water and let the tank age. In early September I threw in two Ramshorns and let them do their thing. By October they had laid a few clutches and I felt it was time for shrimp. So now there are 7 shrimp in total and god knows how many baby snails lol. Luckily I've noticed that my ramshorns don't have a problem out breeding their environment. Though time will tell for this tank.
